Laser therapy is a faster, gentler way to remove sun spots/ age skin spots or dark skin lesions with great results. The laser applies precisely controlled pulses or energy (electrical and light energy) reaching into the melanin (color) that lies beneath the skin.

Veins and Discolored Skin Lesions

Sun or age spot lesions are eliminated in a different way. The laser seeks the color of the skin lesion causing that area specifically to get heated. With skin lesions the laser effectively removes the upper 2-4 layers of the skin allowing for new skin growth thus removing the discoloration. Lasers can be programmed to treat only the surface tissue like sebaceous keratosis or to go deeper into the skin layers to treat blood vessels, it does not go deep enough to cause scarring or skin damage. Treatments

The frequency of treatments for skin lesions, sun/age spots, skin rejuvenation is between 4-8 wks to allow the skin to regenerate. The required number of treatments varies with each individual depending on the location of the sites on the body. 

Post treatment instructions

Application of a skin-moistening agent such as Aquaphor, Vasoline, or Neosporin should be applied 2-3 times a day until area is healed. This is usually 5-7 days. Restrain from picking or scrubbing area as this may lead to scarring.
